Lessons From A Dog!

About a month ago a friend of mine went out of town for work and while she was gone she asked me to house sit for her and take care of the Dog. I immediately said yes this would be like a mini vacation for me too. I would be away from my family for a few days.

One evening as I struggled God spoke to me through the Dog. Every time I moved the Dog moved. Every time I pushed the Dog away he would come right back. There were times I tried to make the Dog do what I wanted him to do. Little did I know that God would use the Dog to speak to me God is just like the Dog He told me that everywhere I went there He would be. Even the times I pushed God away He said He would never leave me or forsake me. There have been times in my life where I wanted God to do what I wanted him to do. But He has a perfect plan for my life. Getting back to the Dog, he had been around longer than me, he knew how things in the house went.

If I would have trusted him to do what he already knew to do the week would have run a lot smoother. You see God knew not only when and where I will be before I got there but he knows what will happen after I’m gone. God has been around long before we came around He knows what to do if we only trust Him He will show us which way to go. Even though the Dog knew I didn’t know what to do, he knew that eventually I would trust him enough to pay attention to what he was doing. God again shows Himself to us and it is up to us to pay attention to the signs.

What signs have you seen? Are you paying attention? Has God told you that He will handle it and you are still trying to push Him away and do it your way?
