The Total Package

I heard a friend once say that he wanted the total package. A woman that was beautiful inside and out, a woman that knew how to take care of her man. At the time I thought she had to be a certain size and have a certain look, you know, size 10 or less with every hair in place and flawless makeup.

My friend has since stated he no longer believes in the total package. He does not think you can have it all. I have since come to gain a better understanding of what the total package consists of. Well to each of us I would say not to confuse the total package with the perfect package. The package I described would be considered the perfect package for some men and many of us have received those types of packages only to find out that when they were unwrapped they either contained some type of damaged goods that were not visible from the outside or the inside was just not that cute, you know nasty attitude, self-centered, etc.

The total package relates to what is good for the receiver. God will look at a man and determine what that man needs and present it to him. That does not always mean that the man will choose to accept the package God presents, because we all have a freewill to receive or not according to our own choosing. The total package only has to be beautiful in the eyes of the one God presents her to, because she is his total package. She only has to be loving, caring, compassionate and as feminine as he needs her to be, because she is his total package. She has to fit him.

Ladies, do what God says as it relates to how you look and how you carry yourself. If you let Him, He will show you all the things He wants to work out in you, whether that be physical, emotional, healing some old relationship pain or spiritual. As He does don’t try to change them yourself, let God do it. In the place I have found myself right now, I know God is working some things out so that I can and will be the total package He wants me to be.

He is drawing out my feminine side. New perfume, lingerie, exercise and yes, I had to take my braids out, some things are hard to let go of, but when God gives the instruction, it makes it so much easier. As part of this preparation God has put some women around me with experience, a heart for God and a heart for me. They give me wise counsel and every word they speak has been confirmed in my spirit first by The Holy Spirit so I know it is God. As He develops you into a total package I am sure He will do the same for you.

God is calling me to be a total package for Him first, for me and then for the man He has for me. You might ask or wonder why I would say for me. Well, if I am comfortable with who I am, what I look like and how I feel about me insecurity will have no place and cannot gain a stronghold in my future relationship. If I don’t have it together I can only bring my baggage and something less than a total package to the relationship. We have to become secure in who we are or the enemy will always, have a stronghold and eventually we will destroy our own relationship from the inside out.

You will chase away the very thing God was preparing you for, because a man will eventually begin to seek something that is not worrying him to death because of insecurity. The very thing you fear will become your reality. You will lose him, by your own hand. Again, you cannot fix yourself, only God can prepare a total package, a relationship cannot do it, a man cannot do it. For a time it will seem okay, but I assure you that you cannot sustain it and if you have to work to hard to hold on to it you may be attached to the wrong thing. If you are constantly fearful, go back to God to first ask Him to show you yourself and then to ask Him to show you His will for you and if you are walking in it.

Ladies, strive to love yourself in a healthy way, not just in words by saying the right things, I am beautiful, I am a Queen, I am royalty, I am …….., or giving yourself titles like Diva, because if you really don’t believe what you are saying in your heart the enemy knows that and he has set you up for a major fall. Your mask will eventually have to come off and you will find yourself face to face with an insecure, hurt individual who because of your insecurity cannot be a total package.

We say, we can’t be the Proverbs 31 Woman, because we see her as perfect. We see Esther as perfect, but remember each of them is what God called them to be, they started somewhere just like we start somewhere. Esther did not come from the perfect two-parent family, she was raised by her uncle and went through a year of preparation. She had a good foundation, which gave God something to work with and you can to if you start to deal with your issues now. Be what God called you to be and you can never be considered less than a total package and men will honor your husband because of you.

If you want to be the total package take some time right now to ask God what He sees, what He wants to change, to show you any hurt places or insecurities that He would like to deal with in you. Give Him permission to mold you remembering He is the potter and that we are merely clay. Check out some of the scents at your favorite bath and body shop and there is some beautiful lingerie on sale at your favorite department store. And they come in your size. Your transformation does not have to make you go broke ask God to show you how to do it in an inexpensive way.

Strive To Be A Total and Complete Package not a Perfect One and Let Him Make You Into The Total Package He Created You To Be!
