We Need Each Other!
Last weekend a couple of my girls and I went to a Women’s Conference in CA. It was wonderful. I wish I could have taken all of you with us. Ladies and gentlemen, we need these types of activities. We need the time of sharing, the transparency, the love and the caring.
For those of us that have gone through something this is a time for us to share what we have gone through or are going through and hear how others got through. There are those that are coming behind us that need to know what God has done and is doing through us.
The women who ministered this weekend shared who they were, their failures and successes. I needed to know that I am not the only one that gets it wrong on occasion. They shared who they were and are as women. They shared what they had gone through. We have been taught to keep your personal business personal, but if I do that who can learn from my mistakes? Who ever came up with that idea anyway?
Titus 2:1-8, says, Promote Right Teaching, 1 As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. 2 Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. 3 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers.[a] Instead, they should teach others what is good. 4 These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, 5 to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes,[b] to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. 6 In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. 7 And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.
Today I want to challenge us all men, women, young adults, to become an example not just in what we say, but also in how we live and what we do to and around those that God gives us the opportunity to touch, our families, sons, daughters, co-workers, friends, mentees, and the person we meet at the mall or grocery store.
- First pray and ask God to show you the areas in your life that don’t line up. We want to make sure we are working out our own situations before we try to impact someone else’s.
- Second, pray and ask God to show you those that He has put in your life for you to touch. Ask Him to show you who He has put in your circle of influence.
- Third, begin to pray for the individuals that He shows you.
- Fourth, pray and ask God to show you what He wants you to do to impact their lives.
God is tired of us teaching those around us all of our worldly, bad habits and ugly ways. Let’s begin to teach them the things of God. Let’s begin to teach them to seek God. Let’s begin to teach them how to live righteously before God and those that are watching us. Let’s begin to teach them how to praise and worship God, in spite of what is going on in their lives. Let’s begin to teach them how to trust God and put their hope in Him. Let’s begin to teach them how much God loves them. Let’s begin to teach them how to live for Christ. Let’s begin to teach them how to love those who despitefully use them. Let’s begin to teach them how to love their enemies, because God said so. Let’s begin to share our own struggles and victories so they know they are not crazy. Let’s begin to share so that they will know that God delivered us and He is able to deliver them
What I have gone through and what you have gone through is not for us alone. Let’s begin to teach and share and recognize that we need each other. I need your stories and you need mine. We need each other.
Let’s begin to teach them starting today, whether the issue is weight, relationships, spirituality or emotions gone crazy, we all have something to share and we need each other.
Weekly Scripture:

Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.
We just worked out spiritually. If you have not worked out your physical temple get up and put your video in or go for a walk, but do something. Remember to work out at least 3 times per week (20-30 minutes per day) to experience a New Beginning physically. Work out to music, workout and pray. Just workout.
